Vegas Comedy Is Hotter Then Ever

In the first of many articles for the Las Vegan Magazine, I Steven Caito, pledge to try and make you smile every month from the entertainment capitol of the world. Las Vegas is fast becoming the capitol of comedy, hosting six major comedy clubs, led by the world famous IMPROV comedy club. The world of comedy is so strong in Las Vegas that myself and a major casino are about to announce the very first LAS VEGAS COMEDY FESTIVAL, slated to debut in early next year. The announcement, heard here first in the Las Vegan Magazine, will bring to Vegas the top comics in America, and the best and brightest young up and coming comics. The LAS VEGAS COMEDY FESTIVAL is now accepting tapes for the main stage by sending them to, Las Vegas Comedy Festival, 2700 State St. Suite B-2, Las Vegas, NV 89109.

It is about time that Las Vegas served as host to an event of this magnitude, being so close to Los Angeles, and with the whole town of casino's and clubs. Las Vegas will now rival such cities as Aspen and San Francisco, who currently host major comedy festivals. The response has been overwhelming to our proposal, since I first mentioned it to the first casino owner. The official press conference will be held in the coming weeks on national television.

My good friend comic Jay Mohr, of Jerry Maguire fame, was seen recently in Las Vegas filming his new movie "Pay It Forward". This serious movie, stars not only Jay, but award winning actors Helen Hunt and Kevin Spacey.

There is a brand new Talk America Radio Show, titled "The Summit Radio Hour," this newest member of the Talk America Radio Network will originate right here in Las Vegas and be heard in all 50 states. Hosted by comic Brian Mullin and writer Dave Guhlow and featuring the unofficial Queen Of Namimbia, Debbie Davis, this funny crew will look back on the week that was, with an irreverent hilarity that can't be seen on "Meet The Press." Listen for the "Sunday Night Summit" on 970 AM, Las Vegas, or on the Talk America Radio Network.
