TV Host-producer Pete Allman Signs Three-year Contract with MQM Networks’ MQMtv.com

Pete Allman, CEO of Celebrity Scene and host-producer of various entertainment and sports broadcasts, signed a three-year distribution contract with MQM Networks/MQMtv.com, an emerging, broadband television network. Allman will provide celebrity and sports interviews for MQM and its associates, Sling.com/EchoStar and B2 Networks.

Allman’s syndicated column is carried by more than 20 print and Internet outlets, including NewsBlaze.com, VegasCommunityOnline.com, LasVegas.net and LasVegasKorea.com, along with his blog at CelebritySceneNews.com.

The founder and CEO of MQM Networks, Ivan Gulas, is a highly regarded corporate executive, author and industry professional with award-winning film, TV and other media credits, including “Titanic” and restoration projects, such as “Star Wars.” In a lead article in WIRED, Gulas was named among the top “25 players who are reinventing entertainment in Hollywood.”

Gulas stated, “Mr. Allman’s interviews are uplifting and well paced. We look forward to working with him.”
Allman will provide 5-minute length clips to MQM that feature celebrities, sports figures, dining and show reviews, new attractions and destinations. In addition, Allman plans to deliver several of his “Uplifting Moments” — brief interviews with celebrities and public figures who choose to speak about their faith-based beliefs and how it helps in their professional growth.

In its mission statements, MQM says it places far greater emphasis on creating and distributing MQM-branded, original, quality programming to targeted viewers by partnering with its content creators, more so than merely driving traffic to any single destination. MQM aligns programming with emerging viewer patterns that show a greater desire for specialized content versus the old model of loyalty to a specific station or website.

MQM recently announced to content providers and strategic partners its move out of beta phase. MQM aims to provide a user-friendly media player that offers easier viral sharing and cross platform migration capabilities. MQM joins Sling.com’s 120 channels, which includes CBS, NBC, FOX, Showtime, Discovery, Bloomberg and A&E. Sponsorships for programs on MQM are sold by Dish Network, and MQM is represented by UberSight.

Celebrity Scene Interviewer Pete Allman Promotes Prostate Health

Las Vegas-based celebrity interviewer Pete Allman recently underwent prostate surgery at UCLA Harbor in California. He now uses his experience to speak out encouraging men to get regular checkups to prevent prostate disorders and reduce cancer risk.

Allman has made over 30,000 celebrity interviews. He produces promotional videos and television shows and hosts a blog from his website, www.CelebrityScene.com.

Allman, who was not diagnosed with cancer, is making prostate awareness a personal campaign to help save lives. He will do presentations and plans to work with local community health organizations.

“Although prostate cancer is a leading killer of men, we have power to prevent, detect and treat it. No matter what, in aging, the prostate is prone to growing. So, unless you do something early on—including good nutrition and avoiding unhealthy lifestyles and substance abuse—there is the likelihood of prostate dysfunction, as well as cancer,” states Allman.

“In my case, to avoid developing cancer, the surgery option was best. But not always is it a solution—especially if you wait too long or until it’s too late,” Allman emphasizes.

Allman has already started using his online “Celebrity Scene” news interviews and broadcast platform to help men save their own lives through prostate health awareness.

In his column, written soon after surgery, Allman states: “Whether or not you are a celebrity, every man is a star and can take charge of his health. Every woman can act like a best supporting actress by encouraging her grandfather, father, brother, son, boyfriend, husband and male friends to pay attention to prostate health.”

Allman, 60, states: “Men, as you get older, don’t be afraid of taking care of your prostate health. Get yourself checked out. And even if some fear crops up, use your courage. Do it anyway!”

Allman also produces videotaped inspirational segments, called “Uplifting Moments,” with celebrities speaking on faith in their lives, family and careers.

“If you are dealing with prostate disorders or even cancer at this time, be encouraged and lean on your faith and God. Keep going forward and get support from other men who have survived this,” Allman continues.

“I have at least two friends who have survived major prostate problems. James Brown, the ‘Godfather of Soul,’ survived for many, many years. …Another friend, impressionist Fred Travalena, who had two operations, says that ‘through the grace of God’ he’s alive today.”

Allman advises his readers to get and stay informed.

“If you take care of it early, you can avoid operations—or worse—as long as you do the right thing,” he says.

For more information about prostate health, go to the UCLA Urology Department website at www.uclaurology.com and many other online health awareness resources. One must-see “super site” is www.usrf.org, provided by the Urological Sciences Research Foundation.
